PYOG’s TinkerGarden 3D Game Development & Simulations Course – Location : New Orleans, LA

The course focus is on building 3D games and using Blender 3D  and Unreal Engine 4.


This class will focus on the fundamentals of game development for electronic devices.  The course consists of 5 phases, the initial classes focus on the Blender 3D user interface, scene tools, layering, importing, exporting and management of working with a large assortment of asset objects and images files.

We will cover in the second set of classes class will focus on the specifics of game assets, breaking down the systems in order to manage the complexity of objects. This phase consists of developing a plan, organizing required parts, prototype layout, Modeling 3d assets for games, final out put considerations.

In this course training …

The Animation phase focuses on controlling the movement 3d objects through in sequence. This section is an introduction to assigning rigs to control basic movement. Assigning vertices using shape keys and inserting keyframes to create actions.  The student will understand how Trigger animations and sequences of events. Student will also learn how to use humanoid rigs to stimulate.

In this course training …

The Material and Texture mapping phase shows how to apply images and patterns to simulate more complicated surface. This phase focuses on color defining of the models faces and how light move in a scene. First focusing on unwrapping UV maps, defining mesh limits, PBR maps, edge angle control. Applying basic color, texture mapping and texture painting.

In this course training …

This is an over arching coverage of the tools provided in UE4 to develop and export for specific device platforms. The course starts with a overview of  logic systems, behavior models, and simple automated decision making of non-player characters. This also covers the simulation frame work, access of tools, asset management model. Model importing considerations for final game, action mapping characters and props. This phase focuses on advanced texture mapping, Camera position in levels, Level layouts and adding and controlling menus.
